On 14 km south of the village is located Maglizh fortress, called `Gornenski city.` Surrounded by walls, castle was about 18,000 sq m and was built in the Middle Ages, but ceased to exist in the first years of Ottoman rule.
Maglizh monastery `St. Nicholas` is a complex of church, residential and commercial buildings, and two chapels - `St. Peter and Paul` and `St. Archangel Michael`. The monastery was declared a monument of culture.
